Hunter BTT Tap Timer — 1 & 2 Outlet
The BTT is Hunter’s battery-powered Bluetooth tap timer, designed to screw directly onto a standard 3/4″ BSP garden hose tap — the fitting used on virtually all Australian outdoor taps. No wiring, no electrician, no in-ground irrigation system required.
Once set up via the free Hunter app (iOS and Android), the BTT runs its schedule independently — you don’t need your phone nearby or a WiFi connection for it to operate. Bluetooth is only needed when you want to change settings or check status.
Specifications:
- Fits standard 3/4″ BSP hose tap fittings
- Battery powered (2 x AA batteries)
- Bluetooth app control via free Hunter BTT app
- 1 Outlet model: single zone, suits most home gardens
- 2 Outlet model: two independent zones sharing one tap’s supply
- Programs up to 4 start times per day
- Manual on/off button on the unit itself
- Weather resistant construction
Hunter lists 27 L/min as the maximum flow at 340 kPa. Losses through your hose, fittings and pipe come on top of this. The full chart is here:

1 Outlet vs 2 Outlet — which do you need?
The 1 Outlet BTT runs one zone from the tap. The 2 Outlet BTT runs two zones on separate schedules, such as a veggie patch and a garden bed. Both outlets draw from the same tap, so the 2 Outlet model doesn’t add flow or pressure. It lets you water two areas independently.
