Hunter PGP-ADJ Rotary Sprinkler
The Hunter PGP has been in production since 1981 and remains the reference point for gear-drive rotors. The PGP-ADJ is the adjustable-arc version — set anywhere from 40° to 360° through the top of the head, with no need to dig the head out or shut the system down.
Key Features
- Adjustable arc: 40° to 360°, set through the top of the head with a Hunter wrench or flat-blade screwdriver.
- Quick Check™ arc mechanism: lets you confirm and reset the arc quickly during commissioning or service.
- Water-lubricated gear drive: no oil to leak or degrade, and no scheduled maintenance.
- Matched precipitation nozzles: three sets supplied — standard red for general landscape, standard blue for alternate flow rates, and grey low-angle for windy sites and low-trajectory watering.
- Radius reduction screw: fine-tunes throw without changing nozzles.
- Heavy-duty rubber cover: protects the head from mower damage and foot traffic.
- Inlet: 20mm BSP (3/4″), measuring 26.44mm — standard Australian poly pipe fittings.
Specifications
- Radius: 7.3m – 14.3m
- Arc: 40° – 360° adjustable
- Inlet: 20mm BSP (3/4″)
- Pop-up height: 100mm
- Nozzles: three sets included (red, blue, grey low-angle)
A note on radius figures: Hunter publishes a radius range covering every nozzle manufactured for this sprinkler worldwide. We supply the PGP-ADJ with the standard Australian nozzle set only, so the figure above reflects what this sprinkler will actually throw with the nozzles in the box. It is deliberately narrower than Hunter’s published range.
Ideal For
- Residential lawns and gardens
- Areas needing precise arc control to keep water off paths and driveways
- Replacing worn or inefficient sprinklers in an existing system
- Mixing with the PGJ on the same zone — both use matched precipitation nozzles
PGP-ADJ or PGP Ultra?
Both are 20mm BSP rotors covering the same ground. The PGP Ultra adds automatic arc return, which resets the head if someone turns it by hand, and a non-strippable drive that survives being forced. If the heads are somewhere they’ll get knocked — a verge, a school ground, a public area — the Ultra is worth the difference. For a domestic lawn behind a fence, the PGP-ADJ does the same watering job.
